Commissioned as part of Paradise: Trust New Art
'Places matter. Their rules, their scale, their design include or exclude civil society, pedestrianism, equality, diversity (economic and otherwise), understanding of where water comes from and garbage goes, consumption or conservation. They map our lives.' — Rebecca Solnit, Storming the Gates of Paradise: Landscapes for Politics.
Trust New Art Bristol in collaboration with Arnolfini presented a series of site-specific sculptural installations at Tyntesfield and Leigh Woods using a variety of materials and art practices to reveal the often fragile 'promises’ made by landscape and urban design to change the way we live. London Fieldworks responded to the commission with two site-specific, temporary outdoor installations: 'Assault Tower' and 'Landing Craft'.
